Discovering Tampa
Tampa, once named Tanpa but Ponce de Leon on his presuit for the fountian of youth. Tanpa which meant "sticks on fire" was mispelled by early explorers and the change stuck. Today Tampa is still on fire with a growing communities, tons of attraction and lots of fun for everyone. Tampa is full of white sand beaches, sports fising, jet sailing, colorful streets lined with fun and the historical Ybor city. Not to mention the seafood, this is a true destination for any seafood lover, its hot and fresh and served but the platefuls. The Tampa Real Estate market is thriving, you can find waterfront properties, new construction or historical properties. Tampa has a great sence of community and a great place to raise a family.

Also of interesting note, for a long time Tampa was a major exporter of Cuban cigars. Don Vicente Martinez Ybor, a Cuban exile, employed nearly 12,000 workers in more than 200 factories, making his community - Ybor City - the Cigar Capital of the World. With the emergence of Fidel Casto and the embargo on Cuban tobacco, Ybor City has become one of three National Historic Landmark districts in Florida. It is a charming mixture of history, art, shopping and nightclubs.
